Music Boosters Mtg This Week

The Broadneck Music Boosters will be meeting this Tuesday, October 19th, at 6pm in the Guitar Room of the Music Wing at BHS. ALL parents are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Marching Band News

Thank you, Marching Band Members, for representing our school so well at the Homecoming Parade!

Reminder -- The third installment of your family music fee is due MONDAY. Please place your final payment of $100, properly marked with student name and installation music fee, in the mailbox this week if you haven't finalized payments.

Chapters Volunteers Needed!

We still need a number of additional volunteers to help with our hosting duties for Chapters THIS SATURDAY, particularly in parking and concessions in the later hours. But if you can help in any areas at any time and haven't spoken with anyone, please contact

john.fowlkes@ngc.com and let him know ASAP. We really need your help, even if it is for an hour or two.

We also need the following items for the day:  2 carafes for coffee, 3 full propane tanks, one canopy, extension cords, one bar stool, one generator, and 2 clip on lights. Please label donations and contact Kathy Cacioppo at kmgc510@verizon.net

or call her at 410-757-7281 to tell her you can help

We are also really needing donations from parents for snack and drinks for the spiritgrams table. This includes things like small Gatorade bottles, snack bars, small bags of pretzels or cheezits, etc.  Please leave them in the music office and put Beth Trehey and/or Shelly Reid's name on them as "Chapter donations."

Finally, we need help spreading the word about the event to the community. Click here for a flyer that you can print out and give to businesses to post.

Friday Night Football

The band will be performing with middle school band players at this Friday night's game. Help is needed with dinner before the game.

Freshmen and Sophomores-  Please bring bottled water.

Juniors and Seniors-  Please bring desserts.

Donations can be dropped off at the music office marked "football dinner" any day this week, or dropped off by 4pm on Friday.

There are several students who still owe money from previous football dinners. Please check with your child to see if they borrowed money from the boosters for their meal, or you can check with Ann Powell, treasurer, at annrpowell@aol.com.  Money that is owed can be turned in via the music mailbox in an envelope marked with student name and "football meal money."

An itinerary for both the football game and chapters will come home with your child later in the week.

ACC Championships

The Atlantic Coast Championships are once again being held at Hershey Pennsylvania over the Halloween weekend. This trip was the highlight of the year last year and we are planning to go again if we qualify based on our score at the Chapter Championships. The preliminary cost per student is going to be around $85. This includes the bus to and from Hershey, tickets for "Hersheypark in the Dark", hotel accommodations and breakfast on Sunday morning. A flyer outlining the specifics of the trip will be sent out ASAP. If you would like to stay in the same hotel please let Mr. Heist know because we have a few extra rooms blocked off. The hotel rate is $99 (taxes included) and the continental breakfast is $8 per person.

Since the awards are not until late on Sunday evening some students and families may want to leave shortly after our performance. If there are any parents who are planning to travel to Hershey and leave after the performance and can bring some students back with them please let Mr. Heist know.
